The couple also built a summerhouse on the land. and also started to plant hundreds of pine trees, creating a gorgeously sheltered walk leading to the beach, , which later gained the name of the Invalid’s walk.

Ever since the early days the popularity of Bournemouth, as a tourist destination, has increased continually, and today, it has gained a reputation for being a tourist haven for entertainment, fun, recreation, culture and leisure. Places which prove incredibly popular to visit include; St. Peters Church Graveyard, the award winning Central Gardens, Bournemouth Pier and the Russel-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum.
