If you are traveling to the Great Ocean road then you will be sure to stop in Torquay. A town that is considered the gateway to this famous road. Torquay is located in Victoria, Australia, south of Melbourne and there is a wide choice of Great Ocean Road accommodation to stay in while touring the area. It was settled by Europeans who found the area to be a lovely vacation area. The settlers decided to name the town after Torquay, England, a seaside resort.
