When you are new to astral projecting you will need to come to a deeper understanding of the process and to work through challenges before you can be successful. To make relaxation easier, it always helps to make your environment relaxing. This lets you have a smoother transition to relaxation. A relaxing environment just makes the preparation process for astral projection easier. Here are some tips that you can use when you are getting yourself and your environment ready.
*Take off any jewelry and change out of any clothing which is restrictive or uncomfortable. Many choose to remove their clothes before astral projecting, but the important thing here is to make yourself comfortable so that you can relax fully.
*You need a dimply lit or dark room for astral projecting – not so dark that you cant see anything, but certainly dark enough that you dont have light penetrating through your closed eyelids.
*Lying in a position where your head is to the north and your feet to the south is a perfect position. You should be able to figure out where north is by watching the sun as it rises in the east and sets in the west. Arrange the room so you can lie in this position.
*When astral projecting, wear clothing which is loose fitting and comfortable, yet warm enough.
*Make sure that there are no distractions. You want to be in a place where there will not be any noise for the whole time that you will be practicing astral projection.
*You can now move to relaxation where you will use the relaxation techniques that you have chosen to completely relax.
*Some like to keep a record of the happenings while they are astral projecting and this would be recommended. You will need to remind yourself to commit to memory everything that happens while you are astral projecting yourself. When you are back, you can record this in a note book specifically for this purpose.
*Focus on proper breathing techniques the whole session.
*Direct your gaze to a point of darkness directly a head of your eyes.
*Take your focus gradually to an object that is about a foot ahead of you. Once you have focused move your focus to about six feet away.
* Now create a line that goes up at a 90 degree angle form the point six feet away. Draw an imaginary line that runs parallel with your body.
You must continue to keep yourself focused. You can have better success in astral projecting if you keep these tips in mind. You must also have to maintain a hold of yourself as you will be able to do what you want if you maintain this hold so you will not be floating in nothingness.
Some people who practice astral projection speak with dead loved ones or take part in activities that they cannot usually do. Physical limitations and other limitations simply do not exist on the astral plane. If you have ever had a dream where you have woke up and felt it was real then you probably were astral projecting.
