The Galveston cruise ship port is located southeast of Houston, roughly 70 miles from Bush Intercontinental Airport and 40 miles from William P. Hobby Airport. Its two terminals are located on the north side of Galveston Island at Piers 25-27.  The Galveston cruise terminal serves as one of two ports of passage and approach for Houston, TX. The other is Bayport cruise terminal.
