There are ample areas to picnic and barbecue and the cycling and jogging is also enjoyed by locals and visitors.
National Parks in the area are popular for family enjoyment and recreation . There is lots of wildlife and native vegetation on display at the Namadgi National Park and the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve. Take a scenic drive, or enjoy a bushwalks or try bike riding.
A hot air balloon flight is a great way to see the area, and for skiing enthusiasts, the ski fields of NSW are close by.
